Looking for new summer road helmet ?

Staff Review: Ian from our Specialized Store in Chelmsford offers his review:

S-Works Evade

Specialized S-Works Evade
I have been using Specialized helmets for many years now and have always used the S-Works Prevail road helmet, thinking aero helmets would be heavier and offer less ventilation.

Deciding to change, I have now been using the Specialized S-Works Evade for over 12 months riding all year round in all weather conditions.

I am now completely sold on the look, feel, and weight of the Evade, the substantial channeling works well to move air across the head, and even on the hottest days, the ventilation was good enough to keep my head cool. Comfort is another big factor, this is one of the most comfortable helmets I have ever worn, with more than enough adjustability to ensure the helmet sits in the correct position.

At “small” it weighs in at 268 grams so I barely notice the helmet is there, with the added benefit of a lightweight soft DryLite padding system, ultralight mindset hairport micro-dial fit system, magnetic buckle closure, MIPS, and ANGI crash sensor the helmet is packed with features.

Aesthetically pleasing the helmet is small, stylish, and slim which is an added benefit compared to the often large bulky helmets available.

It shows how far aero road helmets have progressed where the evolution of a design can bring both improved performance ( the Evade is one the fastest aero road helmets available ) and better comfort in the form of refined pads and enhanced ventilation.

Looking for a new road helmet, then the S-Works Evade has to be at the very top of your list. “
