Successful candidates will be rewarded with a competitive commencement salary and other benefits such as staff purchase incentives and a real opportunity to develop your role as the business grows.

This key role exists to provide customer service support to the company, ensuring customers purchasing goods online receive an exceptional experience from us. You will be the point of contact for all orders that are taken via the company website, so you’ll be responding to emails, telephone queries and even live chat once you feel confident. Our customers deserve the very best in advice and support from us and you will be there for them and us so that we don’t let them down. There will be some computer work so that you can help customers with online orders, take payment and deal with the paperwork needed to secure the sale and arrange for bikes to be collected by the customer or courier company.

Whilst you don’t need to know all about our products (we’ll train you in all of that), you will need the confidence to put our customers at ease (even when you don’t know the answers straight away). This really is a team role and you’ll be supported – and challenged – by others who have done the job already, so you won’t be dropped in at the deep end. However, someone who learns quickly and has the interest and ability to make this role their own will quickly become an asset for the team. Experience of the cycling industry would be an advantage.

Main duties:

  • Assist customers with website enquiries, responding to emails and telephone queries and live chat in a friendly and professional manner

  • Administration of the supplier’s websites (e.g.B2B system) to help customers during the sale
  • Arranging bike collection
  • Taking payments using the EPOS system to collect payments
  • Assist with finance applications and cycle to work scheme and associated paperwork

After sales:

  • Respond appropriately and efficiently to queries on the status of orders and/or deliveries
  • Ensure goods are despatched accurately in accordance with agreed timescales
  • Liaise with courier supplier and make appropriate arrangements for despatch to the customer promptly
  • Take action as appropriate after liaison with colleagues and Director

You will need to be able to demonstrate, either in your application or at interview (which might take place over Zoom) that you are:

  • Confident and articulate
  • Able to speak over the telephone with accuracy and in a friendly manner
  • Able to pay great attention to detail
  • A quick learner with the ability to retain information
  • Able to use computer systems and applications with ease
  • A great time keeper with a positive work ethic
  • Experienced in a customer service environment – or have a real desire to learn
  • Able to learn about the products if you don’t have the knowledge already

If this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for, get in touch, ideally with your CV and a clear indication of what job interests you. You should tell us how you will be able to demonstrate that you’ve got the skills that we are looking for (why do you want the job? What would you bring to it? What experience have you got that would make you a great candidate?).

Candidates selected for further consideration will need to fill in an application form and be interviewed by Zoom if you’re suitable, so the sooner you contact us, the better! Remember to tell us your email address and telephone number when you apply.

These are great opportunities to work with other enthusiastic people, in a positive and dynamic working environment where we all love what we do – and do what we love. We believe in cycling and put cycling at the heart of everything we do - come and join us!
