Please read prior to installing your pedals, failure to do so may result in injury:

  • Pedals should either be labelled with L and R (left and right) or the left pedal will have lines on in, whereas the right wont.
  • Remember that the left hand side pedal (non-drive side) is reverse thread. This means it screws in left to tighten and right to loosen.
  • The right hand side pedal (drive side) is standard thread. Right to tighten, left to loosen.
  • It is also very easy to cross-thread pedals (not screw them in straight), please add a dab of grease to each thread and screw half of the pedal thread in by hand before using any tools. If it feels difficult to thread in, remove the pedal and start again.
  • Not following the above instructions could result in the pedal pulling out of the crank whilst riding, which requires a new crank, which is not covered under any warranty.
