QUOC Shoes – Fulfil all the needs for your life by bike

Founded in 2009, QUOC was started by Vietnamese-born Londoner Quoc Pham. QUOC exists to get more people on bikes through better shoes and better ride experiences. Initially known for their city-styled cycling shoes, more recently QUOC has expanded with a comprehensive range of road and off-road shoes. We’re excited to showcase this U.K.-based brand that stands for comfort, style, and quality. You can shop online, or visit the QUOC range for yourself in-store at our Colchester and Norwich branches. In this article, we will explain the features and differences of their road line of shoes, and touch briefly on their off-road options.

Road.

M3 Air – Headline Shoe

Heading up the lineup is the M3 Air. A byproduct of over a decade of research and discovery, the M3 Air exists to offer supreme comfort and performance in an incredibly lightweight and breathable package. With increased support at the ball of the foot and a larger toe box, the M3 Air suits a variety of foot shapes for those either racing or pushing their own limits in training.

As you would expect with a high-end road shoe, the M3 Air features a stiff carbon fibre sole, with embedded air vents. This sole ensures maximum power transfer yet incorporates vibration-enhancing properties with ball-of-foot pressure point release. What’s more, the M3 Air comes supplied with innovative insoles with varying arch supports so you can fine-tune your personal preference. 3-bolt road cleat compatible (Look/Speedplay)

The closure system is QUOC’s unique development – a dual dial with fast adjusting, parallel lace guides. These dials are also subject to a manufacturing lifetime warranty from QUOC, ensuring you will never be without spare parts when things do go wrong. The two-piece laminated TPU upper is easy to clean, so keeping your fresh white kicks box fresh is much easier than most other options.

What’s more, Tour de France champion Geraint Thomas was this year announced as their first professional athlete. This partnership marked a significant milestone for QUOC, aligning the brand with one of the most distinguished and respected figures in professional cycling. At this year’s Tour de France, you could see ‘G’ wearing the M3 Air throughout, bringing QUOC to a global audience.

Escape Road – Budget Performance Road Shoe

Optimally balancing stiffness and comfort, the Escape Road is an adventure road shoe primed for miles of exploration. It comes in two forms, one with a single dial closure (again a system unique to QUOC) and one with a classic lace-up design.

Pitched towards the rider who seeks everything from cafe rides to ultra-distance riding, the Escape road shoe embodies the spirit of those not always tackling predictable terrain. With a lightweight silhouette, the shoe offers a hugging fit that delivers all-day comfort. There’s a carbon composite sole, too, to ensure efficient and comfortable power transfer when you need it.

Other details include a reflective zig-zag lace guide and a durable PU upper, that is easy to clean no matter which colour option and no matter what conditions you ride in. Speaking of colours, the Escape is available in white, black, and amber (dial closure only).

  • Size options: EU38-47 (no half sizes)
  • 3-bolt road cleat compatible
  • Replaceable heel pad and lifetime single-dial warranty
  • £150 RRP
Mono II – Timeless Full-Carbon Road Shoe

Crafted from a luxurious leather-like material, and renowned for its minimalist elegance look, the Mono II is a choice for the discerning cyclist. A unidirectional full carbon sole provides ultimate stiffness without compromise, packing enough punch for any type of rider.

The star of the show with the Mono II is the microfibre upper with a dovetail-padded tongue. Offering supreme comfort, the shoe feels like a second skin when slipped on. With its perforations, the shoe provides enhanced circulation and aeration. Moreover, due to the lightweight nature of the materials used, the shoe tips the scales at a featherweight of 244g.

Just like their other road models, QUOC implements their own dual dial closure system, creating a snug fit and fast adjustment. A dual dial offers a more precise closure and fit compared to a single dial, which is usually found on higher-end models like this Mono II, over the Escape Road shoe.

  • Size options: EU38-47 (no half sizes)
  • 3-bolt road cleat compatible
  • Three arch inserts for custom-like fit
  • £270 RRP

Off-Road.

QUOC also produces a burgeoning range of off-road shoes, driven by the increased popularity of gravel riding and racing. From classic laced silhouettes to modern XC-inspired race footwear, QUOC will have an option for you if SPD is your preferred pedalling platform.
